THE THOUGHT BEHIND THE AWARDS

MEN AND WOMEN HAVE DEDICATED THEIR LIVES FOR THE CREATION OF A BETTER SOCIETY

Bharat Asmita National Awards

MIT Group of Institutions, Pune, has always strives to deliver more than just academic education. While the principle objective is certainly to educate and train young aspirants in the nuances of attaining extraordinary academic skills, this is not the only aim. The wider perspective is to achieve holistic development of individuals and to inculcate in them a desire to make a sizeable contribution towards nation building and also work for the greater good of the society.

To propagate this idea, MIT Group of Institutions, Pune, India, frequently takes initiatives that bring the students face to face with such personalities who can emphasize upon them the need to work beyond their chosen vocation for the greater good of the society.

One such initiative is recognizing the achievements of the people who have excelled in their chosen fields to lend inspiration to the youth of today. One way of recognizing the achievements is by conferring awards on such personalities and bringing their names in the limelight. Thus Bharat Asmita National Awards were conceptualized by young educationist and Executive Director of MAEER's MIT Group of Institutions, Pune, Shri. Rahul V. Karad in 2005. He was guided in this endeavor by his father and visionary educationist Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, world renowned scientist Dr. Raghunath A. Mashelkar (FRS, London) and eminent computer scientist Dr. Vijay P. Bhatkar.

During the past seven years, Bharat Asmita National Awards have been conferred on 33 highly deserving individuals. These men and women have dedicated their lives for the creation of a better society through their selfless work and set an example for the youth to follow.
