EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad
MIT Group of Institutions, Pune has had the honour and the privilege to confer the Bharat Asmita National Awards for the last four years. These have been presented to immensely deserving and noble people who have not only excelled in their own chosen areas of work, but have utilized their expertise to work for the greater good of the society.

We established MAEER’S MIT Group Of Institutions in 1983 in Pune with the aim of providing ‘Value based’  education to the students in the field of engineering and technology. What began as an engineering college, soon blossomed  into a group of multi-disciplinary and multi-locational academic centers imparting education from primary school level to post graduate research.

All the while, the objective was to provide something beyond mere education for the spiritual upliftment of the students.

I hold the firm conviction that degrees alone do not make a learned person. It is the strength of character and the capacity to face adversity squarely that makes a person worldly wise. We derive a sense of satisfaction for having awarded these prestigious awards on personalities who have displayed an immense strength of character and conviction and have worked against all adversities to reach a position of eminence in their selected fields of work.

Our great country has, from time to time, given birth to extra ordinary human beings, saints, philosophers, scientists, noblemen, reformers and all of them have guided our society and have been a source of inspiration to many a generation of Indians. I hope that Bharat Asmita National Awards will provide the stepping stone for these personalities to reach greater heights of excellence and that they themselves become a source of inspiration to the future generation of Indians

CONVENER

Shri. Rahul V. Karad

The very thought behind Bharat Asmita National Awards is different from the plethora of awards that we see around us today.

I realized that there are so many areas of public life in which committed people are doing exemplary service without seeking publicity or awards. Such people need to be given due recognition, so that they can set wonderful examples for the youth. These men and women can serve as beacons of light for the youth desiring to contribute selflessly for the greater good of the society and building a strong and vibrant India

With the hope of making a humble contribution to the work carried out by such personalities, we have constituted “Bharat Asmita National Awards”. The award carries a cash award of Rs.1,25,000/- each along with a trophy and citation. Thus, it is apparent that the purpose behind the Bharat Asmita National Awards is recognizing excellence and promoting nation building.

I am quite certain that these awards will serve the purpose for which they have been instituted, and will continue to provide inspiration to the coming generations.
