  • Pune  3 Feb. :

    “There is solution to every problem in society. The only need is the visionary and initiated pioneer.” Said Hon. Justice Shri. . K.G. Balakrishnan, Chief Justice of India. He was speaking on the occasion of conferring of the Bharat Asmita National Awards – 2008. The Awards including Rs. One lack & twenty five thousands, Citation & Memento were presented to Dr.Raman Singh, Shri Baijayant J. Panda, Shri. Rajdeep Sardesai & Shri. Bakul Dholakia.

    Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, MAEER’s MIT, Pune, Shri. T.N. Sheshan, Hon. Shri.Raghunath A. Mashelkar, Dr. Vijay Bhatkar and Prof. Rahul Vishwanath Karad were present on this occasion.

    Shri.K.G. Balakrishanan added, “The man power development in the field of management is essential for running the country. The learned teachers in this field should be considered with respect for the betterment of the society. The journalism is crossing the boundaries of the class room and reach the mass. It is a very powerful means to educate the people and building the democratic structure. The personalities working in media are holding this task. But to reach the people actually and get their consent is still more important. After getting the backing of the people a political leader is supposed to administrate the chariot of the Govt. I am very happy that the peoven personalities from all these fields are awarded by this “ Bharat Asmita National Award – 2008.” I am sure the people  will be tempted to follow the foot steps of these awardees.”

    Dr. Raman Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhatrigarh was awarded the Bharat Asmita Jana Pratinidhi Shreshtha ( Special Award for Best Exponent of Parliamentary Practices & Promotion of Democracy).He said, “Chhattisgarh State was established in 2000. We have made a tremendous progress in the field of power generation and other industrial metals. The jungles have occupied half the area. The Naxalite movement in this area will be certainly abolished within a few years of the state.”

    Shri Bakul Dholakia, Former Director, Indian Institue of Management, Ahmedabad was awarded by Bharat Asmita Acharya Shreshtha (Best teacher in Management). He said, “The young generation is rising up with knowledge and enthusiasm. They should be properly nurtured with the recent developments in the field of management.”

    Shri Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor in Chief and Co Promoter, CNN-IBN was awarded the Bharat Asmita Jana Jagaran Shreshtha (Best use of Mass Media and/or NGO for Public Awakening). He said, “The people working silently without coming in the limelight of Media and the women in the country should be felicitated by such awards. We are starting a new channel in Maharashtra within a short time.”

    Shri Baijayant J. Panda, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha was awarded the Bharat  Asmita Jana Pratinidhi Shreshtha (Best Young Exponent of Parliamentary Practices & Promotion of Democracy). He said, “The GDP of Orissa is more than the GDP of India in last two years. If we continue this speed, our state will certainly be one of the best states in the country. For this the contribution of young generation is expected.”

    Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar described the qualities of the awardees 
    Prof.Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad gave the introductory remarks.
    Prof.Rahul  Vishwanath  Karad explained the background behind presenting these awards as well as gave the vote of thanks.
    Kishan Sharma & Jayashree Phadnavis compeered the function.
    The function was started with World Peace Prayer & was concluded with theNational Anthem.

    Vice-President Bhairov Singh Shekhawat has said not honouring the fundamental right to live with human dignity can lead to disastrous effect on our democracy. Shekhawat was speaking on the occasion of giving away the Bharat Asmita National Awards for the year 2007 today. MIT Group Of Institutes had organized Bharat Asmita Award ceremony at Vighyan Bhavan, New Delhi, today.

    Former chief justice of India Y.K.Sabharwal, was Chief Guest of the ceremony. Other dignitaries on the dias present were, Dr. Vishwanath Karad, Founder Director of MIT group of Institutes,Mr.T.N.Sheshan, Senior Scientist Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, Dr. Yashpal and Shri Rahul Karad,Convenor, Bharat Asmita National Awards.

    The Bharat Asmita Awards were instituted in 2005 by the MAAER’s MIT Group of Institutes to recognize and honour leaders of excellence for their innumerable contributions to our motherland. The aim is to highlight the achievements of these great personalities and to inspire the young generation to take a lead from their exemplary lives.

    Awards were given to: 
    Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, member of Parliament – Bharat Asmita Janapratinidhi Shreshtha Special Award for Lifetime Achievement.

    IIM-Bangalore Director Prakash Apte, Bharat Asmita Acharya Shreshtha – Best Teacher in Management Indian Express group CEO and Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta, Bharat Asmita Jana Jagaran Shteshta.
    Munnabhai director Rajkumar Hirani – Bharat Asmita Jana Jagaran Shreshtha NDTV Managing EditorBarkha Dutt for 2006.
    The award carries a grand citation, trophy and a cash award of  Rs. 1,25,000(Rupees One lakh twenty five thousand only).

    Congratulating the recipients, Shekhawat said they “represent the finest spirit of excellence in their respective fields.” “We are fortunate to have a society, which has always celebrated excellence and creativity,” he said. Elaborating on the fundamental right to life with dignity, Shekhawat said, “We have not been able to provide dignified living” to the poor, as a result of which “ their right to human dignity is grossly violated.”

    Former Chief Jjustice of India Y K Sabharwal, complimenting the country’s Constitution, said its provisions can be interpreted differently and this can have positive effects too.
    Dr. Prakash Apte, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Barakha Dutt, Rajkumar Hirani expressed their views. Mr. Kishan Sharma, compered programme competently.
    Dr. Vishwanath Karad welcomed the guests.
    Shri Rahul Karad gave vote of thanks.
    The programme started with ‘World peace Prayer and concluded with National Anthem.

    Bharat Asmita National Award’s Presented at Pune today. The Best
     Young Parliament award was presented to Mr. Navin Jindal, Member of Parliament (Bharat Asmita Janapratinidhi Shreshta ). A special award is presented to Shri. R.R. Patil, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra State (Bharat Asmita Janapratinidhi Shreshtha). Ms. Barkha Dutta, Senior Editor, NDTV Network (Bharat Asmita Janajagaran Shreshtha). Prof. Dr. Anil K. Gupta, IIM, Ahmedabad (Bharat Asmita Aacharya Shreshtha). These awards were presented the auspicious hands of Mr. Budhacharan, President, Bodhisatva Foundation, Shantivan Ashram, Thailand.

    Mr. Digvijay Singh, The Ex-Minister For Forgein Affairs, Padmashri Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, Mr. Suresh Kalmadi (MP), Dr. Suresh Ghaisas, Dr. Mansukh Wani, and World Famous scientist were present on this Occasion.

    Mr. Budhacharan said, “India is a holy place. Many of the saints and sages were born in this place and have awakened the people about spiritualism. Therefore a common Indian man also is of good thoughts. Obviously the professors, journalists and politicizations are impressed by this atmosphere. I am sure, India will guide the whole world in future.”

    Digvijay Singh said, “I know three of the awardees very closely. And hence I can gurantee how judiciously these awards are given. In the olden days the prince used to go rushis for learning. Today the situation is exactly apposite. Crores of people are poor and illiterate. Those who are educated don’t get the jobs. This is because of the lack of planning.I hope the young generation will change the scene. And the awardness will be their leaders.”

    While accepting the award young parliamentarian Mr. Naveen  Jindal said, “ I fought

    Prof. Anil Gupta said, “The top planning people cannot think that a common villager also has ability to think. In fact, a villager is really a creative person. We should discover and invent new things but we should produce new commodities of high quality at economical price. The creativity of a common man should be promoted.”

    Mr.R.R.Patil said, “Good people should enter in politics. The Maharashtra Institute of Technology has promoted fair practices in politics by honouring me by this award. The State of Maharashtra is safest in the country. The city of Mumbai is safest of its kind in the whole world. The credit goes to common man who is a gentleman by nature. Of course, the co-operation given by the administration is equality important,”

    Mr. Imtiaz Jaleel while accepting the award on behalf of Ms. Barkha Dutta said,“Barkha Dutta is very much pleased by the award and hopes that it has promoted the duties of press. Beacause of unavoidable circumstances she could not attend the function. Yet she has promised to visit MIT School of Government in near future.”

    Dr.Wani, Expressed his thoughts at this time.
    Padmashri Dr. Vijay Bhatkar explained, “Prof. Rahul Karad is the originator of the concept of awards. And we people unanimously accepted it. The Committee was headed by Mr. T.N.Seshan. It included Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, Dr. Yashpal, Smt.Ritu Nanda. Prof. Vishwanath Karad and myself. I hope the young generation will take inspiration by the great deeds of the awardees.”

    Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D.Karad said, “ Our country is a knowledge based society. And we are running the institute according to the thoughts of Swami Vivekanand. We feel that, Saint Dynaneshwar and saint Tukaram symbolically represent the saints and sages of the world. I am sure, the awardees are basically of good nature and serving the humanity by their acts.”

    Prof. Rahul V. Karad expressed the vote of thanks. The compeering was done by Prof. Sudhir Rane and Smt. Jayashree Phadnavis.
