Bharat Asmita Acharya Shrestha: Dr. Bakul Dholaki
Dr. Bakul Dholakia is a former Director of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad. He served with IIM-A for a period of 33 years in various capacities and has been recognized as one of the finest teachers of the institute. He is a PhD in economics and has also served on various committees of the Government of India as an expert in the areas of finance and economics. He is a recipient of the Padmashree award. He is also recognized for his efforts to gain more autonomy for the IIMs. In recognition of his outstanding services as a management guru, he has been presented with this award.

Bharat Asmita Jana Jagran Shrestha: Shri. Rajdeep Sardesa
Shri. Rajdeep Sardesai is the CEO of the news channel CNN-IBN7, which has gained tremendous viewership in a very short time. He began his career as a newspaper journalist and soon moved over to TV journalism with NDTV India. He is known for his forthright reportage and his program ‘The Big Fight’, which he presented when he was with NDTV India, won many laurels. He also holds a law degree from the Oxford University. Shri. Rajdeep Sardesai has been awarded the Padmashri recently by the President of India. He has been presented this award due to his effective use of mass media like television for public awakening. |

Bharat Asmita Jana Pratinidhi Shrestha: Shri. Baijayant Pand
Shri. Baijayant (Jay) Panda is a Rajya Sabha MP of the Biju Janata Dal from Orissa. He belongs to the generation of young and educated politicians of India who have taken up politics as a career for the service of the society, in spite of having excellent academic qualifications. He is working for the alleviation of poverty in his home state of Orissa, which happens to be one of the poorest states of India. He has been presented the Bharat Asmita Jana Pratinidhi Shrestha award for his exemplary parliamentary practices for the greater good of the society. |

Dr. Raman Singh
Dr. Raman Singh is the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. He was also a Minister of State in the cabinet of Shri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee during the NDA regime in India. A doctor by qualification, Dr. Raman Singh has been in active politics for nearly thirty years. For the benefit of the people of his state living below the poverty line, he recently launched a scheme to sell rice at Rs. 3/- per kg, which has earned him the goodwill of the people. In recognition of his long and outstanding services as an elected representative, he has been honoured with the Bharat Asmita Jana Pratinidhi Shrestha (Special) award. |
